Morreu neste sábado (16), aos 65 anos, o jornalista Marcelo Rezende. Ele lutava contra câncer no fígado e no pâncreas e estava internado desde terça-feira (12) no Hospital Moriah, na Zona Sul de São Paulo.

O jornalista, que havia contraído uma pneumonia, recebeu a visita da família neste sábado, após seu estado de saúde se agravar.

Autor do bordão “Corta para Mim”, Marcelo Rezende fez carreira em programas policiais de TV. Ele estava à frente do “Cidade Alerta”, da Record, que mostrava crimes e ações das forças de segurança. Rezende também passou pela Globo, onde comandou o “Linha Direta”. Na RedeTV! esteve à frente do telejornal “RedeTV! News”.

Diagnóstico

O jornalista recebeu o diagnóstico de câncer no pâncreas, com metástase no fígado, no começo deste ano. Para fazer o tratamento de quimioterapia, ele se afastou do comando do programa Cidade Alerta, da TV Record.

Diante da agressividade do tumor, ele abriu mão do tratamento convencional e participou de retiros espirituais.

No último dia 3, Rezende gravou um vídeo falando sobre os altos e baixos do tratamento contra o câncer. “O que eu tenho, a doença que eu tenho, o câncer que eu tenho, tem altos e baixos, é como uma montanha-russa. Uma hora eu to lá em cima, outra hora eu to lá embaixo. O mais importante é que eu estou firme e estar firme é aqui, onde a mente funciona. E eu estou firme para enfrentar os baixos, até chegar o momento em que o alto vai deslizar e aí a cura vai chegar. E eu tenho certeza dela porque Deus está comigo, Deus está contigo”, disse o jornalista.

Marcelo Luiz Rezende Fernandes nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, em 12 de novembro de 1951. Ele deixa cinco filhos e dois netos.
