Durante patrulhamento, policiais do Batalhão de Choque prenderam um homem de 22 anos por dirigir embriagado. Ele estava no bairro Dom Antonio Barbosa, em Campo Grande, quando avistou os policiais, empreendeu fuga e bateu em um veículo estacionado. Além de garrafas de cerveja, foi encontrado no interior do Jeep Renegate, após revistas, um pacote de cinco quilos de fungicida. Ele só parou após policiais atirarem no pneu do carro.

De acordo com informações do boletim de ocorrência, ao avistar a viatura, o condutor do veículo acelerou o carro bruscamente e empreendeu fuga. Após 15 minutos de acompanhamento, o carro foi avistado na Avenida Gunter Hans. Outras quatro viaturas da Polícia Militar foram acionadas para fazer o acompanhamento tático.

De acordo com os policiais, o veículo chegou a atingir 140 quilômetros por hora, desrespeitando a sinalização de trânsito e semáforos. Após ele bater em outro veículo que estava estacionado e percorrer seis bairros da Capital, policiais acabaram efetuando um disparo no pneu de um dos veículos.

Durante abordagem policiais notaram que o condutor apresentava sinais de embriaguez, em buscas no veículo, foram encontradas duas garras de cerveja um pacote lacrado de fungicida, um tipo de pesticida usado em plantas.

Ao ser questionado sobre o motivo da fuga, o condutor relatou que estava com carro emprestado de um amigo, porém não é habilitado e pelo fato de estar embriagado, resolveu fugir.
