Em novembro do ano passado, a Câmara Municipal aprovou o projeto de lei complementar com mudanças na Taxa de Coleta, Tratamento e Disposição Final de Resíduos Sólidos do munícipio. A aprovação veio após a explanação de promotores e de engenheiro do TCE/MS (Tribunal de Contas do Estado) sobre a legalidade e necessidade da alteração.
Na época, a prefeitura afirmou que o projeto visava a adequação da lei existente devido ao início do funcionamento do aterro sanitário, localizado em Jardim, que receberia os resíduos gerados em Bonito a partir de janeiro de 2018, mas nada mudou.
O vereador Geraldo Marques Filho (PDT) classificou como absurdo o aterro antigo ainda continuar ativo. Ele afirma que a separação da taxa, que já será cobrada dos munícipes em boleto separado do IPTU, serviria para que os resíduos fossem encaminhados para o munícipio vizinho.
Ainda de acordo com o vereador, o responsável pelo local atual ainda receber os resíduos é o secretário de Meio Ambiente, Alexandre Augusto Ferreira Ferro, que “não faz o serviço dele”.
“Janeiro e o lixão não deveria estar mais recebendo lixo aqui. Pelo menos assim foi passado o projeto para o prefeito, o qual o prefeito pede para cobrar a taxa da população. Tão jogando lixo na estrada que passa onde era o lixão. Isso é para provar a incompetência desse secretário de Meio Ambiente, que não cuida e não faz o serviço dele. Continuo afirmando: cadê o projeto que o senhor prefeito passou pela Câmara? É um absurdo.”
Segundo o engenheiro do TCE/MS, Fernando Bernardes, todos já sabem que os “lixões” são locais inadequados para o recebimento dos resíduos e que o projeto de lei apresentado tem como base uma diretriz nacional de saneamento básico.
