Mujeres ocupan el 39 % de las candidaturas

Casi el 40 % de las candidaturas que se pugnan en estas elecciones corresponden a las candidaturas de mujeres.

La directora de la Unidad de Política de Género del Tribunal Superior de Justicia Electoral (TSJE), Cynthia Figueredo, destacó como positivo el aumento de la participación de la mujer en cuanto a las candidaturas.

“De las 15.597 candidaturas que pugnan en estos comicios, el 39 % son mujeres. Es un número positivo porque aumentó la participación de la mujer”, señaló Cynthia Figueredo a la 780 AM.

De esta manera, la directora de la Unidad de Política de Género del TSJE mencionó que es importante este número alcanzado en estas elecciones generales.

Cabe recordar que a las 16:00 culmina la jornada electoral en nuestro país, y hasta las 14:00, la participación de electores en todo el país ya llegó al 50 %, según informó Luis Salas, Director de Recursos Electorales del Tribunal Superior de Justicia Electoral.
