A polícia prendeu em flagrante seis pessoas que tiveram participação no furto de 45 cabeças de gado na última segunda-feira (9), em uma fazenda de Bandeirantes, município distante aproximadamente 70 quilômetros de Campo Grande. Os animais são avaliados em R$ 100 mil.
Os suspeitos foram identificados como Genivaldo José de Almeida, 42, Edvaldo Ortiz, 49, Simão Oliveira da Costa, 26, Marcelo Gomes Silva, 24, Nilo Cunha, 54 e Sérgio Luiz de Barros, de 45 anos.
Segundo o delegado Fábio Peró, do Garras (Delegacia Especializada de Repressão a Roubos a Banco, Assaltos e Sequestros) os ‘chefões’ do bando seriam Genivaldo e Edvaldo. A dupla sempre agia junto, alternando os outros participantes em cada crime. Além do furto em Bandeirantes, os dois são envolvidos em pelo menos mais outros três crimes com gado. Peró destaca que todos os furtos da dupla totalizaram aproximadamente 120 bois.
Ainda conforme Peró, os policiais receberam uma denúncia sobre um possível furto que possivelmente aconteceria entre a noite de domingo e a madrugada de segunda-feira passada. A polícia ficou de campana no local, quando viram Genivaldo e Edvaldo chegando na propriedade em uma caminhonete Hilux e os outros integrantes do bando, sendo que alguns deles até trabalhavam na fazenda da vítima, utilizaram dois caminhões boiadeiros para realizarem os transportes dos animais.
Os policiais aguardaram os suspeitos furtarem o gado para eles serem presos em flagrante. No trajeto para a Capital, os policiais renderam a quadrilha na BR-163. Houve resistência de Genivaldo que não obedeceu a ordem de parada e a polícia precisou atirar nos pneus do veículo.

De acordo com Peró, Genivaldo e Edvaldo também são suspeitos de furtarem 50 cabeças de gado em uma fazenda de Ribas do Rio Pardo, em fevereiro, quando os policiais conseguiram recuperar 34 desses animais em uma propriedade na cidade de Rancharia, no interior de São Paulo.
“Genivaldo chegou a ser indiciado,mas não foi preso. A dupla já mexia com compra e venda de gado há um certo tempo, quando providenciavam nota com estoque virtual, vendiam os animais por um preço maior. Eles são suspeitos de outros crimes que se somados, foram 128 bois furtados pelos dois. Genivaldo principalmente é muito conhecido no setor agropecuário”, disse o delegado.
A autoridade não descarta a possibilidade da dupla estar envolvida em outros crimes. “Temos alguns registros que acreditamos que eles tenham envolvimento”, adiantou.
Na casa de Simão, localizada na propriedade da vítima, os policiais encontraram uma espingarda que foi apreendida. Os seis detidos foram apresentados nesta manhã de quarta-feira (11), durante uma coletiva de imprensa no Garras. O bando vai responder por furto qualificado e organização criminosa.
